Or bladed, if it happens to have a bayonet. If most of us were in the apocalypse and our bat or katana snapped on it, we'd sooner swing our empty gun than get up close with a screwdriver. It makes sense, it works, and it would increase survivability for players.
This should only work when the gun isn't broken, just for balance purposes. It should drain the durability of the gun quickly, but still be efficient.
