Normally when you enter a building, there are a certain number of rooms/points visible on the mini-map that you have to 'clear' in order to create a temporary safe zone. But the same clearing points don't even appear when a mission pings inside the building.
Why can't I clear a building with a trader or scattered survivor waiting inside? Why is it that the map icon (and clearing points) for the building in question only begin to work properly again after (1) the mission is gone, and (2) I have reload the game?
Map iconography is representative of the presence of searchable spots or resources in the building. White icons mean there are resources present, and/or places left to search for loot. Black icons mean either there is nothing to search, or all areas have been searched and any resources (rucks) have been taken. If there are any non-resource items left there, it's incumbent on the player to remember.
However, all of that gets thrown out the window if (A) again, there is a mission pinging in the building, and/or (B) there are zombies nearby.
Why does zombie presence mess up how iconography functions? If I grab all the lootables in a house, and there's a bloater on the front porch, that should prevent a temp safe zone, but it should NOT prevent the map icon from changing.
