If (And I am certain) there is going to be a State of Decay 3, here is what I hope they will have in it for not only entertainment, but challenges for the players:
1: Instead of making one enclave having only 3 people, give the players a problem when faced with other enclaves that are equal in size (people count). By that I mean this, the player will be faced with cut-scenes depending on how he or she has progress throughout the game. Yes, the sheriff and the warlord have the Coalition and the Violent people to deal with at the end of their legacy, but that is not what I mean.
Example of Cut-Scene: The player has reach day five and has now up to six people with one person in charge. Depending on the morale of the community, the player and its people are either giving positive, stable, depressing, or empowering remarks about the situation. Suddenly, here comes a new face from another community. The person is either being friendly, neutral, or aggressive towards the community depending again the morale. So, the leader informs everyone to stay alert and be careful when out and about searching for supplies. Then, five days later, a new person shows up to the player's base after he or she moves them to a new base and offers them support depending on the morale of the player's community. Later on, after at least three plaque hearts are defeated or a certain population is achieved, a cut-scene shows up where the player's leader meets with two other leaders who are joining the area the player is in.
As for the other ideas that need to stay in State of Decay 3, here is the list that all players will be glad for:
A. Allowing all vehicles to be easily turned back over by the player.
B. At least four or six map designs.
C. Keep Aunt Pepper and T-Dog included in the game. It helps the story line.
D. Maximum infestation: six.
E. Give the zeds an advantage to where if too many infestations are near each other, they can create a possible plague heart if left unchecked for week.
F. Blueprints for body armor, cars, and weapons if found in the game.
G. New Leader types: Outlaw (Old wild west rules) & Scientist (Advanced cures)
H. Additional Leaders: Farmer (Growing crops) & Renegade Agent (Rebel Leader)
I. On each map, three bases that support a population of 8+.
J. For the other enclaves that have eight plus people, you can trade with them or go to war with them depending on the morale of your people and others on the map.
K. Mission objectives: Defeat the blood plaque, complete legacy part 1, complete legacy part 2, and eliminate or convince the other large enclaves to join your cause.
L. Keep the Bounty Broker.
