More flexibility with bases, and base growth
I don't like being stuck with a base that has limited large and small slots. Let me build based on space available. Ie: I choose something I want to build, and I have to find space for it in my base. This means that managing that space becomes more important, as I might lock out a build based on where I put previous builds... yes, this means those players who know geometry will be a wee bit better off in planning ahead.
Further, previous "players" upgraded, fenced in, the bases we have, why can't we further upgrade them? I means that no home owners association I know of would allow topping a fence with razer wire or barbed wire, yet Justineau house has exactly that in certain spaces. The community should be able to carry on in this example and build up the base so that the fence is unclimbable... yes, I want to be able to, ultimately, get to a completely safe base, INSIDE. Doesn't mean that the base might not end up attracting a sea of zeds outside to be dealt with!
Further, why can't I extend my fences? If someone could build them in the first place, why not my community?
Yes, this may go so far as to saying let me build a crane at the container fort (at least a large slot, unless you adopt my 'can I fit it' idea above) and place more containers to enlarge my base.
