It’s clear that most people want to add Boons to existing communities; since a lot of people are running long-term communities they’ve grown attached to from before completing the game, however I want to offer up an idea on how to provide Boons to existing communities, and why it would make sense. It would make sense that communities that have no Boons selected will continue to have none until completing the legacy and unlocking one; however I believe it would make sense that upon completing the legacy of your current leader type, and choosing to continue to a new map afterwards, that you should be allowed to select to use the Boon you just unlocked, or swap any Boons the community have unlocked. This not only would allow communities to unlock and use the Boons they just received, which would naturally benefit the community that unlocked the Boon, but would also make sense with the radio chatter. For example, using Charity gives radio chatter of the enclave thanking the Sheriff, even if the Sheriff that unlocked that boon isn’t in the community. Allowing the community that unlocked usage of the Boon to use it would then make sense, as the Sheriff would still be in that community. This is also pretty balanced, as even if you already have the Boon unlocked, your community cannot use it until you complete the legacy of that leader type, so even if you have Amenities, you must complete a Builder legacy in that pre-existing community to make use of it. All-in-all, I think this would be a great addition to communities that didn’t get to make use of the bonuses of some Boons, and can definitely promote players to play with communities through multiple play-throughs!
